The Best Power Strips To Protect Your Electronics And Gadgets

review websites

It's worth purchasing a power strip if you use a lot electronics and gadgets. These power strips are inexpensive, easy-to-use, and have enough outlets to protect expensive gear from voltage spikes.

The best power strip doesn't only protect your equipment, but also allows you to connect up to three devices simultaneously. Some have smart outlets which can be controlled by an app or through voice commands. According to the model, it may also allow you to monitor energy consumption and set schedules that turn devices on and off automatically.

Best fitbit surge

Fitbit's surge is a portable charger with a removable battery. It has many of same features as the other power strips we have listed, including multiple USB sockets and multiple outlets. It weighs just over 5 ounces and is only slightly more than half inch wide, making it perfect for backpacks or carry on luggage.

Electric surge protection

Some power strips include a surge protection built in. These devices from a range of manufacturers offer an extra layer of protection against surges, which can damage your expensive electronics.

You can use these if you need to protect expensive technology from the elements. They are also useful for charging your favorite devices when you travel or leave home. They usually don't have a lot of features, though, so we recommend going with a more comprehensive option for your specific needs.

Bototek Heavy Duty Surge Protector

This power strip has a lot of features, and it's a great value for what it does. It's a heavy-duty power strip that can charge and protect up to four USB devices at fast speeds, plus it comes with a heavy-duty 3,000 mAh battery for charging your devices while you're away from home or on the road.

TP-Link Kasa HS300

The TP-Link HS300 power strip is a good option for those who need a little more power. It is a smart strip of power that you can control with an app, or voice commands. It offers six outlets as well as multiple ways for connecting devices. The smart power strip is compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant. You can use your smartphone to control it, or you can speak commands.

Tripp Lite 3-Outlet

We chose the Tripp Lite 3 Outlet as our best travel power strip due to its compact size, light weight and portability. It is half an ounce wide and will fit in most carry on luggage or backpacks. When not in use, the plug prongs can be folded neatly away.

The only negative is that this surge protector doesn't offer the same high joule ratings as some of our other basic surge protectors. The surge protector doesn't offer as much protection for equipment, but has a higher Joule value than the cheapest power strip we tested.
