Honda Odyssey 2020 Interior Review

product tester

Honda's Odyssey is a top-rated minivan. It's spacious and comfortable, with plenty of cargo area, and it offers a pleasant ride. It is also among the most secure in its class. In fact, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Odyssey a Top Safety Pick Plus rating.

There are four trims for the Honda Odyssey: EX, EXL, Touring and Elite. Higher trims add features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. However, Odyssey models in the lower trim levels are sufficient for most buyers.

The Odyssey has a 3.5L V6 engine that generates 280 HP. It comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Although it may not be as fast or as others, it is sufficient to keep up with traffic on the highway. The Odyssey achieves 22 mpg when combined.

Honda has introduced two new transmissions for the Odyssey. The lower models come standard with a nine-speed transmission, while the higher models can be ordered with a ten speed. Both are available for Sport grades. You get 19-inch alloy wheels, black leather seats, and contrast stitching with red. Rear-seat entertainment screens will also be available with integrated streaming apps.

If you need more space in the Odyssey's interior, the Sport and the Touring trims come with the Magic Slide 2nd-row seat. This seat is easy to access from the third row. Power-sliding rear doors with remote start are included.

The Honda Odyssey's interior is quiet, spacious, and comfortable. The Honda Odyssey is equipped with many sensors. It has blind-spot, lane-departure, rear cross-traffic alert system and active lane control. Smart storage areas are provided in the doors, consoles and on the seats.

Despite its compact size, the Odyssey provides an ample amount of legroom for its eight-passenger seating. As an added bonus, it's also very low to the ground. The Honda Odyssey is about two inches longer than the Chrysler Pacifica in terms of legroom.

Honda's Sensing package can also be found on the Odyssey. This includes adaptive cruise control, active lanes control, and forward collision warnings with automatic braking. The HondaLink app can also be used for models with higher trim levels.

The 2023 Honda Odyssey also features USB ports, a free scheduled maintenance plan, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a complimentary schedule maintenance plan. Even though the entry-level LX has been discontinued, the line of Odysseys for the 2023 model year has added a Sport variant.

The Odyssey's design is a combination of modern and traditional. Although the interior isn't quite as sleek as some other minivans, it's still well-designed.

Honda offers a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty and five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty for the Odyssey. These warranties do not differ from those of most competitors. The company is known to extend its warranty up to eight years or unlimited mileage.

The Honda Odyssey is a great family minivan. It's quiet, safe, and has plenty of cargo space. However, some drivers might find it a bit boring.
