A variety of websites offer honest reviews. Honest Product Reviews offers reviews of products within certain categories such electronics, shoes, pets, and so on. Compare side-byside and you can choose the best website design. Consumer Reports and Tom's Hardware can also be helpful, but TestFreaks is our favorite. These sites also provide information on specific products for specific markets.

TestFreaks

If you're looking for a way to find and read honest, unbiased reviews of products, TestFreaks may be the answer. In 2011, the site launched a badge product that allows retailers to add review snippets, ratings, and pros and cons to their product pages. They also launched an API in 2012 that allows them to integrate with their existing tabs. More recently, they started a pro-active post-purchase review collection service to increase their conversion rate.

Consumer Reports

Consumer Reports was the first source for product reviews, even before Amazon and other online shopping websites. Their focus has now shifted to a web site with a $10 monthly subscription, $39 digital annual subscription and $59 unlimited subscription. They also offer sponsored content as well. We will examine the pros and disadvantages of each option.

G2 Crowd

G2 Crowd offers honest reviews on products and services. G2 Crowd is similar to Yelp in that users can rate companies based upon their satisfaction with the product or service. Reviews cover security, setup, and support. Reviewers can also answer questions about the product. If you have reviewed the product, you can also vote for them and upvote their reviews. You can also record your own video review for extra credibility. G2 Crowd also allows you to see whether someone has verified their review.

Tom's Hardware

Tom's Hardware, an online magazine, provides news, reviews, as well as articles about computer hardware. The site also features price comparisons and videos. It also hosts blogs that showcase new technology and products. It ranks 11th in the Electronic Components sites. Although Tom's Hardware is known for producing high-quality content and its customer reviews, they are not the best. You can find a comparable product review on another website for the same price as an article.

Capterra

Capterra is a great site to find product reviews. Capterra offers more than 400 categories. You can refine the search by pricing, key features, or deployment options. A list of the top 20 software tools for each category is also available. The user-generated reviews can help you decide which tool will be most suitable for your needs. However, there are some limitations to Capterra.

Which?

Whether you're shopping for a new smartphone or a laptop, which product review sites should you trust? Which? Which? was founded in 1950 as an online magazine. They offer a subscription service to their content. Their mission is to educate and protect consumers. Consumer Reports is a sister publication to them. However, they are totally independent and do NOT accept advertising. Even though premium content is not often available, some of it can be obtained for free.
