Frontier Airlines Review

product reviews website

Budget airlines are great for saving money whether you travel for business or pleasure. These low-cost airlines often have some tradeoffs. Frontier is one such airline.

Positive Reviews of Frontier Airline

Frontier Airlines, whose motto is "Low Fares Done Correctly", has been a favourite airline for travelers with tight budgets. The company flies to more than 101 domestic and 19 global destinations, so it's easy to find an affordable flight with them.

Frontier has some of the lowest fares. Their ticket prices can be as little as $25 each way, but they also have a variety of fees that add up quickly, so it's important to plan well for your trip.

By paying in advance for your seat assignments, you can save even further money. Frontier tickets are not eligible for complimentary seat assignments. Therefore, you'll need to pay to have them assigned if you do not want to be in a middle-seat or separated from your party.

Frontier offers a bundle option that can help you cut down on your travel costs. Bundles are a great way to cut down on the cost of your addons, and get extra perks such as priority boarding.

If you can't avoid the fees, you might be better off booking a full-fare ticket with Frontier and using a credit card that has a rewards program. You can then redeem your rewards for Frontier flight discounts in the near future.

Frontier Customer Service

Frontier's new messaging-based system for customer service has some passengers upset. Joe Lorenz was recently on a flight from Michigan to Denver to celebrate New Year's. He said that he couldn't resolve an issue with his online check in through Frontier's messaging platform. He was not able to resolve his problem by email but had to call an agent at the airport to get help.

This employee was rude, and dispassionate about solving the problem. He was rudely dismissed by the employee who said "I work the ticket counter, the gate".

He explained that he had many conversations and multiple employees to be able to check his luggage. He said that he was reimbursed the $25 fee at the airport. However next time, he will switch to another airline.

Frontier's Baggage Insurance

Be sure to adhere to the size and weight guidelines if you are flying with a carry on. If you don't follow these guidelines, you could face a $60 charge for your bag.

You should also be aware that some of the more expensive bundle packages don't allow you to carry-on any luggage, so make sure you choose wisely if you're aiming for the maximum savings.

Despite their plethora of fees, Frontier isn't as bad as some of its competitors. If you have a limited budget, Frontier's rewards program and low fares might be worth looking into. But don't forget to read Frontier's arbitrary baggage rules and cancellation policies before you decide to fly with them.
